The Wood-2000 Ltd was established as a family business in 1994. Our main activity was providing the range of cylindrical and sawn timber selections for the operations necessary of the Transdanubian and Borsod deep coal mines operating at the time. Due to the closure of the mines, our company focused more on the processing of hardwood sawmill raw materials. In 2011 Our company built a sawmill in Nagykálló.

Most of our timber production is directed to users in Western Europe and a smaller part in Eastern European countries. We are partners of companies who’s engaged in wood trading and further processing, as well as a significant part of state forestrys.

Nowadays, our company employs a significant number of employees. The processing capacity of our own sawmill is approx 7000-8000 m3 hardwood and sawmill raw material per a year. Our primarily processed wood species the Oak, Ash, Robinia and Turkey Oak. A significant part of the commercial activity is made up of cylindrical wood selections, including hard and soft leady saw logs, fiber wood and raw materials for energy purposes, the size of wich in recent years has been approx 30000-50000 m3.

The quantity of Robinia species reaches 500 truckloads annually. In 2009, our company obtained FSC certification.

In the near future, we aim to increase the size of processing of sawm timber and the Robinia round poles.
